“Wonderful stay, every little detail thought of, beautiful location, exceeded expectations “
Alison, Pontypridd
The barn is an extremely fine Victorian former threshing-barn, set in a very special 3 acre garden, designed by its owner, a well-known professional garden designer, and recently featured in “Gardeners World” on BBC.
The barn is large – over 60 foot internally, but particularly light with large full height windows on both sides. By virtue of its size, there are two totally separate living areas on the ground floor and then on the first floor. As can be seen in the photographs, the downstairs living area is very substantial – 50 foot in length and 24 foot in width. It is filled with an eclectic range of books; rugs; paintings and antique furniture, and is furnished very much as a home.
The barn is in a small group of former farm buildings, with 15 acres of private ancient woodland, which are filled with a variety of native trees and carpeted with bluebells in the spring. Guests are free to visit all areas of the garden and woodland. The garden itself is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays from May to August 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rhodds Farm is exceptionally tranquil and quiet with no near neighbours; no traffic noise and also very sheltered from wind.
EXCITING NEWS – We have installed a 7Kw Electric Vehicle charging unit directly outside the Barn front door and it is TOTALLY FREE to use for all our guests staying at Rhodds.
